My Approach to Helping
Every person faces the wilderness of the world, whether that be depression, trauma, painful life experiences, or any other challenges. We are all searching for a way to walk in harmony with that wilderness and to grow through our experiences. I believe that each person walks their own path and that therapy is about individuals learning to recognize and accept their intrinsic worth and fostering resilience. Lasting change is possible and we all start somewhere. Why not start here?
Using evidence-based interventions, I provide individual, couples, and family therapy to adolescents and adults. I have experience treating a variety of needs including depression, anxiety, trauma, family and relational challenges, identity concerns, grief/ loss, and life transitions and stressors. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness-based therapies, and other cognitive, trauma-informed care.
Therapy can seem daunting and change may feel impossible. That's okay. That's normal! My goal is to provide a safe and structured atmosphere to work through problems and to meet each client where they are at. I would be honored to be a catalyst for growth as you nurture and develop your own sense of peace and understanding through this therapeutic process.
