My Approach to Helping
I understand that deciding to enter therapy can be an intimidating step, which is why I aim to create a warm, soothing healing environment. I use a holistic, integrative approach to therapy which allows for a unique treatment plan to be designed for each individual, couple or family. As a therapist, I provide a safe space for sharing while utilizing helpful tools so that you may start to experience relief from uncomfortable feelings, though and behaviors. I believe in the importance of strong support systems, the ability to develop self-awareness, and the capacity for emotional agility. I find it helpful to explore early life experiences as well as life-long personality characteristics that guide our interaction with the world. Additionally, mind-body techniques (such as EMDR) can be used to help alleviate stagnation and promote deeper growth and connection to the self and others.
