My Approach to Helping
"Every moment is a fresh beginning." T.S. Elliot, Cocktail Party
My name is Adi Zief-Balteriski and I'm a licensed psychologist who specializes in work with adults and teens in individual, group, and couples settings. My approach to helping is to provide a safe and nonjudgmental, accepting environment while working together to allow a helpful, meaningful, and fulfilling experience. I am eclectic in orientation and interactive. I believe every client is unique and has different needs and as a therapist I will work on carefully revealing those needs.
My focus is on personal expansion and growth, relieving depression and anxiety, overcoming past and current traumas, managing life transitions, sexual orientation issues, coping with loss and grief, diversity and cultural issues, coping skills and relationship challenges.
My primary approaches include psychodynamic, interpersonal therapies, client centered and mindfulness based approaches. I have seven years of professional experience in the field, working at hospitals and community mental health clinic settings.
