The reason a person chooses to start therapy may not actually be what they discover in the process. Having an open mind and allowing yourself to be flexible in thought, opens up endless doors for healing. Realizing there could be more is an amazing and exciting thought!
I like to determine therapy goals after a couple of sessions where we get to know each other. I want us to feel like we can be a team. I have seen success in establishing and achieving goals when there is a baseline of comfort and trust.
