My Approach to Helping
I have a compassionate and strengths-based approach to therapy. I firmly believe that it is the relationship we build together that empowers you to work towards your goals. While treatment looks different for each person, I integrate techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic theory, and trauma-informed practice into my work. As a child of immigrants, I am particularly interested in working with those who come from immigrant andor refugee backgrounds where mental health may be stigmatized.
I seek to create a nonjudgmental, safe, and supportive environment in therapy where you feel able to process and work towards making the changes you would like to in your life.
