My Approach to Helping
I stay “human” in my therapeutic approach to ensure every client feels heard, understood, and not just like another individual I meet. I thrive off of building a strong relationship with all of my clients and don't believe therapy is one size fits all.
I serve adolescents, young adults, and adults in-person in Wheaton, or via telehealth. I provide therapy for those suffering from workplace struggles, relationship and identity issues, behavioral health concerns, and am especially skilled at:
Holistic Therapy: I believe mental health is ones part of a larger puzzle. I believe in finding ways to engage the mind and body to encourage you to take a look at your lifestyle and how it may be helping or hurting you.
Getting “Unstuck”: Feeling trapped by your life is a terrible feeling; I understand what you are going through. I can help you find your way out of routine because change isn’t supposed to be comfortable. But comfort zones are even more uncomfortable.
Coping with Anxiety and Depression: Anxiety and depression are two of the most common mental health issues, but every person is differently affected. I make sure you are heard at every appointment. The hardest step is the first step, but it’s also not the most important one. Time to get your life back under your control.
In therapy, I use different approaches depending on your needs. I utilize CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused therapy. I thrive off feedback and building the ideal coping mechanisms you may need to heal.
I earned an undergraduate degree from St. Xavier University and a graduate degree from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Out of the office, my passion for health continues with being an outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy hiking, biking, and running; also, going to concerts and building music playlists. My self-care includes cooking which is my own form of therapy!
