Podcasts are rapidly replacing traditional radio for many people. Podcast listenership has tripled in the last five years from 25 million to 75 million listeners, and will surpass one billion annual downloads this year. Google recently joined iTunes (and their 800 million users) in announcing the support of podcasts for its 1.1 billion Android users. One third of the world (or 2.56 billion people) will have access to smartphones that can access podcasts by 2018.
Podcasting offers a unique platform for practicing clinicians to showcase their strengths and connect with others. Attendees who register for this event will log in to the web conference center by using a computer and calling in to the teleconference line. Attendees will be able to ask live audio questions via phone and/or submit text chat questions via computer. Live streaming video and/or document sharing will also be available to participants.
