Most clinicians have never heard of Sociometry or Doubling, yet these two Psychodrama tools can profoundly change the depth and effectiveness of clinical work, whether it’s with an individual, couple, family, or group.

In this two-hour continuing education web conference, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-Certified Psychodramatist and Sociometrist Jean Campbell will show clinicians how to use psychodramatic and sociometric exercises to help clients engage more fully in the therapeutic process, to assess clients, and create treatment plans in an interactive way.

Jean will explore the psychodramatic technique of doubling, which provides clinicians with the skills to help clients better tune into their thoughts and feelings, feel more understood, and increase co-regulation in the therapeutic relationship.

This introductory instructional level web conference is designed to help clinicians:

  1. List two benefits of using the social atom for assessment.

  2. List two benefits of using the social atom for treatment planning.

  3. Use two sociometric exercises that can build connection in a group, family, or couples session.

  4. Explain the difference between doubling and mirroring.

  5. Discuss two benefits of utilizing sociometry rather than talk therapy alone.
