According to divorcenet.com, high conflict is defined as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153divorces where one or both spouses engage in negative behaviors to intentionally derail the process or inflict unnecessary emotional pain on one another.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">However, if one spouse uses coercive tactics to gain prolonged power over their ex-spouse, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153high conflict\u00e2\u20ac\u009d may not be the correct labeling; it may be considered Post Separation Abuse. Additionally, because the court system largely does not recognize or understand post-separation intimate and judicial terrorism, the very forum in which the victim seeks safety and justice may deny her both, retraumatizing her in yet another way.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><span
