Sometimes it may seem that there’s a special day or week for just about every cause and idea under the sun, but sometimes the reason for celebrating a special day is focused purely on fun and enjoyment. On World Laughter Day, to be held May 2nd, there may be some healing in store for celebrants, as well, as the fields of laughter yoga and other physical and psychological therapies gain momentum. Concentrating on laughter’s ability to promote healthy breathing, social activity, and positive feelings, therapists of many disciplines are planning on embracing the day this year to give people a lot to smile about.
