About Loveland

Loveland is a self-governing city in Larimer County, Colorado. It has an elevation of almost 5000 feet. The city was founded in 1877. It was named after William A. H. Loveland, a 19th-century railroad entrepreneur. 

The city of Loveland has around 77,000 inhabitants. The ethnic composition of the population is 85% white, 11% Hispanic, and 1% Asian. Black people make up less than 1% of the population. 

Ninety-five percent of people in Loveland who are at least 25 years old have graduated from high school. Thirty-five percent of residents in this age-group have also earned a bachelor’s degree. The average annual salary is $30,500. More than 9% of residents live below the poverty line.
