My Approach to Helping
Do you find yourself worried about everything? Are you tense and keyed up all the time? Or have you experienced a significan loss recently? Are you unable to relax and enjoy life?
Try a unique therapy for teens and adults that uses visual art and creativity to deal with issues of anxiety, loss, and emotional discomfort. In Art Therapy you don't have to be a professional artist or even consider yourself talented, you just have to be willing to pick up a pencil. Stick figures are always welcome.
Art Therapy uses collage, drawing & painting to allow you to express your feelings, learn relaxation techniques and find solutions to problems. Each session, I suggest a project to work on for 20-30 minutes before discussion. It is one of the most powerful, positive and empowering modalities I have experienced.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Going to therapy is the best thing you can do for yourself. It's a time for you to work on you! Think of it as EMPOWERING yourself. Like going to the gym to work your muscles so you can receive all the health benefits for your body, going to therapy is the gym for your mind. Each time you go, you can think "I'm getting stronger and better every day". And that's whether you started with a problem or started on top of the world, it works the same! I am so proud and honored to witness the strength and courage of everyone that comes to work with me. They are all brave, smart, passionate souls who care about living well (and not just surviving) in this world and are doing something about it. I respect everyone that goes to therapy and admire parents who give this gift to their children!
