My Approach to Helping

My approach to psychotherapy can be encompassed simply and broadly as 'All of you is welcome here'. This is something that is unfortunately rarely given to us in relationship, the true gift of the freedom to be ourselves, and the ease, joy and aliveness that comes from that. It seems to me that all too often we are asked to make deals and compromise ourselves, and our integrity and authenticity along with that. The felt sense of that manifests as the myriad symptoms or presenting problems that bring one to seeking therapy or counseling, ranging from anxiety to depression, panic, communication breakdown in relationship, and everything in between. When we are conditioned to compromise ourselves away from our own inherent wholeness, we suffer. In this role as psychotherapist, it is my absolute honor and deepest fulfillment to help you navigate your inner world exactly as you are, as the very doorway and springboard into what you most deeply yearn for, that peace of mind and fullness of being we all are and share with each other. I bow to that in you which has brought you to search for support and is reading these words right now, looking out of those eyes, that which is already whole and simply needs that reflected back and nourished by the seed that is already sprouting as your true heart's desire.

More Info About My Practice

I charge a reasonable and affordable fee for a 50 minute session, and offer a sliding fee scale for you if you are in need of one. I also offer a free 15 minute phone consultation, where I would be happy to discuss my fee and answer any other questions you may have. I am happy to now accept credit card payment options, in addition to cash or check payment.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am particularly adept at helping people struggling with issues of social anxiety as well as identity crisis/spiritual emergence issues. Having struggled with both in my own past, and having done a lot of inner work toward resolving these struggles, I have both first-hand experience in walking the walk through these terrains, as well as huge and heartfelt compassion for those of you in the midst of such struggles. My compassion stems from an intimate understanding, and this understanding also includes the vast inner resources which can heal and resolve these struggles and crises.

I also work well with first-time therapy clients, including those who have traditionally felt ambivalent or somewhat closed to therapy.
