It is our human nature to revert to a default place emotionally or habitually, which could leave us feeling confused, angry, helpless/hopeless, or stuck. I whole-heartedly believe "talk" therapy empowers us to be insightful about who we are and the opportunities we have despite inevitable struggles and challenges. The therapeutic relationship, a safe environment, and gentle exploration are the fundamental keys in helping and healing.
My purpose as a therapist is to facilitate an increased understanding of feelings, thoughts, and behaviors; thus, improving resiliency, making better choices, and promoting conscious living.

More Info About My Practice

I am an out-of-network provider for insurance companies for several reasons: 1. you select your own therapist, 2. your confidential information remains between us, 3. treatment is focused on YOU and gaining skills and insight rather than the pathology of symptoms, and 4. the exchange of money for services stays within the context of our relationship. With this said, should you decide to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company, I will provide you with an invoice for direct reimbursement.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Problems and struggles can be debilitating and overpower your general quality of life and relationships. I am on the side of helping and empowering you. My passion as a psychotherapist comes from the long-term value of healthier and more productive lives. Plus, our collaboration and relationship gives an opportunity to freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with the intent to learn how to work through a problem.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

For me, the value of being human is beautiful and humbling and our journey of life should be embraced and explored with curiosity. Through my own on-going work in therapy and supervision, I appreciate the vulnerability and the difficult encountered emotions of being in treatment; however, the rewards are tremendous. My own struggles and major life transitions have allowed me to have deeper emotional connections and boosted empathy in both personal and professional relationships.
