Billing and Insurance

I don't currently accept insurance, but I can provide documentation if clients wish to submit to an insurance company for "out of network" benefit coverage

Fees: Although I do not work with insurance companies, I provide you with a receipt which you can submit for reimbursement. My fee is $150/session. The initial session for couple and family therapy is $225 because these sessions tend to run longer.

It takes a lot of courage to make the decision to go to therapy, and I believe it is very courageous to do so when things are not going well in your life or in your relationships. It can be hard to reach out for help when you are feeling so vulnerable. I work with individuals, couples, and families around many issues, which include: conflict/communication issues in couples, sexual issues, family conflict/raising adolescents, parenting, LGBTQ issues, depression, anxiety, and so much more.

I have specialized training in couple and family therapy, which I received through the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York City. I am also currently pursuing certification in sex therapy because so often, sexual issues come up in the context of couples therapy.

My hope is to provide you with a caring, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to talk about whatever it is that has brought you to therapy in the first place. My goal is to create positive change in the lives of the people with whom I work.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I truly love the work that I do. It is very rewarding to help people work through difficulty, and come out in a different place. I learn something from all of my clients, and it is such an honor, each and every time someone puts their trust in me, and shares their stories, and I take that responsibility very seriously.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I genuinely believe that reaching out for help when you have hit a wall in some area of your life, is a great strength. I believe it is much harder to be vulnerable, than it is to try and be tough and do it all on your own. As a therapist, I know that it is important to focus on what is not working in one's life, but it is of equal importance to highlight the many strengths that people have as well.
