You know how when you go to a friend, or relative and ask them for advice, it sometimes falls flat. Therapy is a chance for you to invest in and listen to your own inner voice. You have the answers to what is challenging or how to improve your life. Conversations about the people and experiences that have influenced you will help you begin to make mindful decisions. Instead of reacting to events, you can become an active participant. Advice from others can be especially difficult when it is about one's romantic relationship. When you first meet someone there is usually a mix of excitement and anxiety. Will he/she want to get together again? When the couple is faced with change (moving, new job, marriage, baby) or when they hurt each other (affair, conflicts), the couple has to make adjustments. Getting a therapist will buffer any negative impact that even the happiest of events make. The therapist not only helps each person adjust to the change, but helps them stay in alignment. In addition to working with Couples and Individuals, I am a Certified Bringing Baby Home Educator. This is a research-based based workshop designed to support expecting and new parents. Having a strong relationship is the best foundation for a child's development. This program is designed to keep new parents connected as they transition to parenthood. Thank you for your time and considering my services.
