THE GUY THAT GUYS CAN TALK TO.
Men who talk to me say they wish they could master the tools and skills needed to confidently handle life's problems. They say if they could figure out on their own how to solve their own problems with confidence life would be better. Sometimes we get to the point of our lives when we feel things are way out of our control and situations take a turn for the worst.
Maybe this describes you?
Perhaps you feel that if you don't get help now your life will only get worse.
Whether its your career, relationship, or general well being?I can help.
Hello my name is Tim Ervin and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the Northern Chicago Suburbs.
I understand that it takes courage to seek advice.
building stronger and more fulfilling relationships sometimes seems complicated; Maintaining a positive personal and work life sometimes seems impossible; developing an improved over all well-being sometimes seems unreachable.
My goal is to help you live the fulfilling life you deserve.
We work together to identify those everyday issues that pester men and then develop lasting solutions.

More Info About My Practice
I offer Interactive therapies for those who are facing anxiety and or depression do to a severe life-transition or change. If you spend enough time in this world, there will come a period when you will be faced with an uncomfortable change or life-transition. I use interactive therapies to help individuals overcome stressful reactions to uncontrollable life changes or brake-through barriers that are in the way of desired changes.
Change seems to cause stress in several ways. First are uncontrollable changes that happen to us; for example, Divorce, job loss, empty nest, yourself or another family member diagnosed with an illness, other medical issues, growing old, to name a few.
A second kind of change stress is ?desired changes?, those changes we want to make but are feeling stuck or unmotivated to complete. Desired changes like, attitude changes, weight loss, quitting a bad habit, deciding to end a relationship, changing jobs, going back to school, loosing weight, or starting an exercise program, are a few examples.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
I use interactive therapies to tackle those thoughts that sometimes prevent you from becoming unstuck. You know; those thoughts that prevent you from sleeping or wake you up in the middle of the night robbing you of peaceful nights sleep. During our first meeting you will be given tools to begin the process of dismissing those pesky thoughts that get in the way. Most of my clients notice a difference after the first session.During our first meeting you will be given tools to begin the process of dismissing those pesky thoughts that get in the way.
