My belief is that counseling is done 'with' someone, not 'to' them. Counseling is like a dance between the counselor and another in which the counselor is privileged to see the change happening within the other person. My philosophy is that each person has within themselves the strength and abilities to change. Those abilities can get covered up by daily living, and together we can work to excavate them.

It is my job as a counselor to create a warm, inviting, empathetic, and non-judgmental setting in which you feel safe to explore what is happening.

I have chosen to become a counselor because I was always told I was a great listener, and it was always my dream and passion to help others. I feel at home within the counseling profession because each person is unique and it is an adventure to get to know them and help them release their inner strength.

Overall I feel that the objective of counseling is to offer you opportunities for healing, growth and insight.
