As a therapist I have found my dedication to the field in working with children, adolescents, young adults and parents in the form of individual and family therapy. My approach comprises of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). This form of therapy helps you, as the client, to better understand your thoughts and behaviors and to assist you in developing healthy forms of communication. You are provided a safe and comfortable environment to begin the therapeutic course and play an active role in the counseling process. I will assist with developing goals based on the needs that you identify. Through practice during and after the sessions you will learn techniques and skills such as listening, communication and gaining awareness of self and others. With process and consistency you will be able to reach and maintain your goals effectively and for the long term.

More Info About My Practice

I am an out of network provider. I provide sliding fee scale based on client needs.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My skill set lies in working with children and teenagers who are experiencing barriers with self growth and self esteem. I have experience with adolescents who are self harming, experiencing eating disorders, displaying oppositional defiance, feeling depressed or experiencing other mood disorders and are victims of physical, sexual and emotional abuse, bullying and neglect and abandonment. I am dedicated with parents who may be having difficulty with providing structure and are unable to communicate effectively and understand how to work with their child's needs. Family work is introduced when there is a clear disconnect between the parent/ child relationship and the family is experiencing a major life change and/or transition. I use specific methods and strategies to assure all individuals involved in the treatment process are gaining the maximum benefit from therapy.
