On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
It is normal to feel ambivalent towards entering therapy. As human beings it is natural for us to avoid uncomfortable feelings as well as difficulty in trusting others. However therapy does not have to be scary. During the therapeutic process you are in control of the speed we go at and avenues we explore. We believe that once trust is established any goal can be obtained with an individual who is ready.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Many people have the misconception that by reaching out to a therapist they are weak, flawed, or "crazy." Meeting with a therapist only means you are making the active decision to improve yourself as a human being. It means you are STRONG enough to face your flaws, and COURAGEOUS enough to be willing to improve them. Many people come to therapy to process life shattering events however some come to have 45 minutes to have a safe place to talk and explore any topic they would like. Therapy allows your to have a safe place with your personal tour guide to help your through your chosen journey in life.
