Over 15 years of owning my private practice, I have had the honor of helping hundreds of persons -- individuals, couples, and families -- grow and heal from ruptured relationships, behavioral issues, anxieties of various types, and mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder.

More Info About My Practice

My practice is intentionally small, which separates it from other regional practices. You contact me directly, without an intermediary involved. I carry a small caseload in order to provide the focus that is needed to help your grow and heal. At my practice, we do full, 60 minute sessions.

I cap my sessions at 15 weekly, whereas many therapists see 40 clients weekly. My personal belief is that the quality of therapy is dependent on many factors--the number of clients on a caseload being one of those.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy can help you heal from recent or distant wounds. It can help you adjust to temporary setbacks, heal from grief of the loss of a loved one, or from a relationship ending. Psychotherapy teaches you new coping skills, the skill to see opportunity in difficult times, how to manage anxiety and mood disorders, and signs that you need to return to therapy for "booster" sessions.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

The purpose of psychotherapy is to create safe space for healing and growth. In our personal relationships, persons have stakes in you holding certain views, maintaining or ending relationships, and, in general, having you behave in a certain way.

In therapy, the only agenda is helping you heal and grow is a safe, judgement-free environment. Your therapist only has your best interests in mind, and probes you to find the answers inside yourself, and with guidance. You will leave therapy with not only problems eased, but also skills you can generalize to other situations for the remainder of your life.
