I understand that life can be a unique and challenging experience. Much of the time we are able to deal with the everyday issues that arise; however sometimes life challenges us in unfair and unexpected ways.

I believe that therapeutic change occurs through a supportive, caring and trusting relationship building upon your unique strengths and resources. By talking through your concerns, you will deepen your understanding of what is happening and develop alternate ways of dealing with a situation.

You are the expert of your life, and with support, encouragement, and appropriate interventions, we can work together to find solutions to your problems.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss your needs and how we might work together to find solutions to your problems.

Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work

I enjoy working with people and have tried to develop a variety of therapeutic skills that I believe can help individuals live happier and more productive lives. I received my training and Certification as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist from The Beck Institute of Cognitive Therapy, which is a highly admired institute in the field and operates under the guidance of Aaron T. Beck, the father of Cognitive Therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an educational approach to therapy that helps clients overcome their difficulties by exploring their thinking, behavior and emotional responses. It has proven to be clinically effective for a wide variety of problems and disorders.

I have also been trained and became Certified as a Solution Focused Therapist, which is designed for shorter-term therapy and helps clients focus on solutions to their problems.

For individuals who are struggling with trauma, I offer Eye Movement Sensitizing and Reprocessing Therapy, which has provided millions of people relief from many types of psychological stress.
