Helping people with their struggles is such meaningful work. I take a down to earth approach to helping people be their best selves, focusing on their strengths to overcome their challenges. Sometimes people just need another perspective to see their situation in a new way so that steps to healing and wellness become more clear. People leave sessions feeling encouraged and empowered by strategies for overcoming the barriers they face.

More Info About My Practice

I offer evening appointments and, at times, last minute appointments to accommodate busy schedules.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have assisted persons experiencing traumatic events for 20 years. It's led to my specialization in trauma and resilience. I have extensively researched trauma, stress, anxiety, and resilience, informing my work with persons who have experienced traumatic events. EMDR has been a key tool in helping people move past their past and live more freely in the present.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Some people hesitate to go to therapy because they know what they need or believe they should be able to figure it out on their own. Going to therapy isn't about being weak and asking someone else to "fix things". It's looking at the gap between where they are and where they want to be to reveal what's standing in their way. Sometimes talking this out in a place where they don't feel judged brings insights not possible when just thinking about it on one's own.
