Billing and Insurance

Fees: INSURANCE:
As insurance coverage is often confusing I would be happy to contact your insurance company on your behalf to find out the details of your coverage. Please take note: Most if not all Insurance companies require (at the least) a diagnosis in order to reimburse for appointments. Not all clients qualify for a diagnosis, and not all diagnoses are covered - if you have questions about this, do not hesitate to ask.

I work from the perspective that each person has the ability to heal their own life. I see my role as one of a guide helping people discover those abilities and how to utilize them. My work is born out of a heartfelt compassion for people who are attempting to grapple with the anxiety, depression, fear, addiction, abuse, doubt, hopelessness or they may experience.

Sometimes we just feel lost. Sometimes we simply don't "want to wake up feeling this way anymore" but we've no idea how to change it. You've already taken the first step - you're looking for help, that's why you are here... I encourage you to take the second step: call or email. Reach out for a consultation and see if it feels right.

This second step can be difficult because it may feel scary to reach out for help, so please know that your courage in looking for support is recognized and deeply respected.

More Info About My Practice

We are located near the "Crossroads" shopping center right off of Highway 1, so though my office is located in Carmel, it is easily accessible and parking is not an issue. Parking is designated for visitors underneath the building.

My office is safe for the chemically sensitive (those with chronic illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or allergies) and is fully handicapped accessible, as are all exits and bathroom facilities.

Further, there is a separate exit out of my office to protect your confidentiality even futher.

I offer 20-30 minute phone consultations (at no cost) if you would like more information or would like to get a better sense of how I can help.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

When we find ourselves wrestling with the same problem(s) over and over again we can become very discouraged. Feeling depressed or anxious, being drawn to relationships that feel unhealthy, struggling internally with shame, perfectionism or self-criticism, shopping or eating to comfort ourselves, or being unable to let go of anger or fear for reasons that elude us can make us feel like our lives will never change. If you have attempted to resolve a problem or a way of thinking and have been unsuccessful, counseling can teach you how to better utilize the skills you were born with, while teaching you new skills you may need to learn in order to change your life. You won't just "talk" and I won't just "listen"- this counseling experience will likely be different than what you've experienced in the past. So I invite you to consider what you could gain by giving it another try...
