Are you (or is a loved one) creative, highly sensitive (HSP) and/or gifted? If so, you likely have known for a long time, maybe from childhood, that you're different from most people. These traits, along with their benefits, can create many challenges for the creative, sensitive or gifted person ... or for others close to you. Can you relate?

Because these characteristics can cause so much trouble and also because they so often show up together, I've coined a word to help describe them: CASIGY. CASIGY is an acronym that stands for Creative, Acutely Aware, Super-Sensitive, Intense, and/or Gifted You! It's an inclusive term anyone can use who feels that it helps with self-understanding or communication with others.

When you as a CASIGY face stressful life experiences, trauma, grief, illness or other difficulties, the effects of your sensitivity, creativity, intensity or intelligence on your stress level can magnify life's stresses beyond what you or others expect. This is likely to complicate relationships at home, school or work.

A feeling of being considered over-sensitive, feeling depressed, anxious or having stress-related illnesses, AD/HD or ADD, learning differences or being "twice exceptional" may be common concerns of CASIGYs. So a CASIGY needs tools - tools that work for creative, sensitive, intense or gifted people. The tools I teach are tried and tested with creative, sensitive, intelligent people. I'm here to help you develop great skill in using them.

More Info About My Practice

Like many others with these CASIGY traits of Creativity, Acute Awareness, Super-Sensitivity, and/or Giftedness, you may wonder at times, "What's wrong with me?" because you are so different from the majority. Or you may have felt like those who have told me "I feel like an alien from a different planet." You're not alone. Finding understanding and acceptance may be a first step to thriving and healing.

But does being a CASIGY always have to drag you down? No! These traits that may be troublesome can also be camouflage for your greatest gifts! But how do you find and access them? By traversing what I call the "Wilderness of Inner Territory". Why? Our culture teaches us not to think, to feel or talk about our emotions, so our inner landscape can seem like wilderness.

It is in the midst of these struggles that I help CASIGYs to acknowledge, face and actually embrace your differences- which amazingly enough, is what can transform that "deep defect" into a "great gift".

The tools I teach for Creative Coping, Creative Healing, and Creative Transformation will help you along the way. They can also help you discover and make your unique Creative Contribution. Many others don't need this final step, but many CASIGYs are not truly fulfilled unless and until you are contributing in a meaningful way.

I would be honored to help you or your loved one who is creative, highly sensitive, intense, and/or gifted to thrive, heal and become fully alive so you can fulfill your destiny.
