My Approach to Helping

My approach to therapy includes the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Through combining these theories, it helps create realistic and attainable goals to change unwelcome behaviors. I am passionate about using play and art therapy with adolescents and children as an added alternative to talk therapy.

I believe that making behavioral changes personal to you are ultimately how the most change will come. Together we will discover realistic ways of making positive changes come to fruition.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

What I love most about being a therapist is to observe firsthand how people's lives can and do change when they are ready. The power of therapy is beautiful, dynamic, and unique to each individual. I am passionate about having the honor and ability to connect with people to promote growth, knowledge, and strength.

What Makes up a Problem?

Although genetics and biology may predispose people to certain mental health issues, the impact of environment and life-experience can also have a great effect on a person. Through my experience, it is possible to change and minimize unwanted behavior(s) by repetition of new desired behavior(s) whether the issues is due to genetics or environment. I believe that in certain cases it is necessary to combine medication and psychotherapy for treatment of certain biochemical issuesimbalances.
