My personal and professional experiences have taught me that each one of us has the capacity and resources within ourselves to thrive and live our lives in accordance with what we value most. However, sometimes during times of stress and emotional pain it becomes difficult to harness these amazing resources. Because I believe that there is no one way to understand and deal with life's tough issues and that a higher education degree does not make me an expert on your life I deeply value working collaboratively with each of my clients. I do not believe that one needs to be in the therapy for all their lives but I am also certain that no one's process of healing and working on themselves can be rushed. As we work together, I trust that we will be able to gain a deeper understanding of your particular process of growing and healing.

Past and current clients have shared that they appreciate that I am able to achieve a balance between, on the one hand, being gentle, affirming, and 100% supportive and on the other hand being unafraid to challenge them when appropriate. Along with a collaborative, highly personalized approach I am deeply committed to providing culturally competent services to each one of my clients. In fact, I believe that this quality is crucial for any therapy to be effective and helpful.

I have successfully been providing clients safe spaces to grow, heal, and realize their authentic selves for several years now and hope to be able to walk with you on your unique journey! Take that first step and call me today at the number on the right.

If you would like to use your insurance, I am happy to serve as an out-of-network provider. This means that I will provide you with insurance-ready statements each month, which you can use to obtain reimbursement from your insurance company for the fees you have already paid at the time of service.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I find that working with survivors of any type of trauma/abuse/loss is one of my strengths. I am deeply committed to helping survivors go beyond surviving to truly thriving in their lives. Yes! I believe this is completely possible. I have several years of training and experience in the treatment of trauma/abuse/loss and also practice Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly researched technique for trauma treatment.

I also work with the immigrant populations in Colorado including those seeking legal status in the U.S. by providing immigration psychological evaluations (Hardship waiver, U-visa, Asylum, VAWA/Spousal Abuse cases). I am deeply passionate about working with racial/ethnic minorities as well as providing identity affirming therapy to the LGBTQ communities. Working with young adults, individuals who are in a transitional phase of life, and those who would like to deepen their understanding of themselves and their lives are other strong areas of my practice.
