More Info About My Practice

I graduated from Princeton University in 1990, received a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2005, and some time after, left a 20 year, successful professional career. For me to make that radical career change tells you something: I'm passionate about helping and healing. For me, it's a calling. What that means for you is that I care profoundly about being excellent at what I do. And I work very hard at it, because, in truth, it's not work for me. It's who I am. It's what I love. People like you are the beneficiary of that passion and commitment.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have a particular passion and special skill-set for working with individuals and couples struggling with relationship problems. In particular, I am trained in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidenced based, highly-effective therapy for couples counseling (see how I work with couples -- In addition, I have been researching and writing for over a decade on the psychological and emotional underpinnings of relational conflict. My work on conflict has been published in the Journal of Humanistic Psychology. I am likewise a periodic online contributor and the editor of a book that addresses the subject. Ending conflict and achieving harmony and fulfillment is at the heart of who I am. I am a MFT Registered Intern (IMF#70567), supervised by Dr. Alan Kubler (LMFT#21070) and currently employed at the Marina Counseling Center in San Francisco.
