Struggling with life transitions and obstacles is stressful. There's no reason for you to experience intense suffering alone; with the proper support, any situation is manageable. My primary goal is to support and guide you through difficult or challenging times.

Collaboration is a major part of my practice. Together, we'll discuss the reasons why you're in therapy and you'll determine what you'd like to focus on.

Since creative arts therapies often inspire a deeper connection to the self, they're an integral part of my approach. I also use talk therapy methods to encourage deep exploration and analysis.

My ultimate goal is to have you leave treatment with the confidence to use the resources we develop together, which ultimately become your own.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I have the great privilege of sitting with the intensely personal emotions that come up during sessions, exploring material that may only feel safe to delve into during therapy. I feel incredibly fortunate to experience so much depth.

My passion for psychotherapy is also personal. I've witnessed, in my work as a therapist and my own personal therapy, how powerful it can be to look at something from a different perspective. I've experienced the incredible process of changing a personal story or criticism into something that feels healing and transformative.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long, one time per week.

You can participate in therapy for a couple months up to many years. This depends on your particular issues and the goals we set together. I encourage you to be open about likes and dislikes when we're working together. You may want to work on a very specific issue, so that once it's resolved, we'll be done with our sessions. Or, you may find greater benefit from long-term treatment. Either way, once you're done, you're always welcome to return if you ever need support in the future.
