I believe that we are all capable of change and creating better lives for ourselves, but sometimes we need a neutral, nonjudgmental partner to help us along the way. I believe that one of the greatest indicators of change is the therapeutic relationship. I provide an open, safe, trusting environment for clients where there are no judgments or assumptions, and where my goal is to work with you as a collaborative partner on your journey to creating a healthy, happy, and fulfilling life.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Often when we experience difficulties and challenges, we do not have a neutral party with whom to share our story. Sure, we can go to trusted family and friends and, while they can be supportive and may have the best intentions, it can be helpful to have someone who is professionally trained to listen and provide support, compassion, and empathy. I provide a listening ear, tools, and skills in a nonjudgmental, safe environment to help clients create change and find new ways to approach life's challenges and transitions.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

I believe that the greatest indicator of change is the relationship between client and therapist. While it is important to choose an educated, experienced therapist, it is crucial to find someone you can trust to be open and honest with, and who will not judge or make assumptions about you or your life. Each person's story is unique, and I am privileged to be a part of my client's lives in a way that few people are. Because I believe so strongly in the importance of the client/therapist relationship, I offer a 30-minute complimentary consultation to determine if we are a fit.
