As a therapist, I am here to help you and your family work through whatever it is you are coming to see me for. I work with the kids and their adults as a team. I view myself as a resource for you, as you are the expert on your family and will or will not work for you. I use several different techniques when working with children and families in order to be able to be as useful as possible. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Talk therapy, Play Therapy and Art Therapy are the therapies I use most often.

More Info About My Practice

I am currently not accepting insurance, but am happy to write a Super Bill for you in order to ask your insurance company to reimburse you. Please check in with me after the 1st of the year about changes to this.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have over a decade of experience working with children and teenagers. I also have experience working with couples and parents. I do work with people within the LGBTQ comminity and their families. I have experience working with the Deaf Community, and am competent in ASL but not fluent.

I primarily work with children who are struggling with depression, anxiety or behavior problems. I work with kids and their families on learning how to cope with their feelings using fun art projects and creative ways to think about their problems.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

If you are unsure if therapy will be right for you, I am happy to set up a free 30-min consult with you to learn a little more about what is going on in your life and how I might be able to help. If it seems like therapy or I would not be a good fit for you, I am happy to discuss other available options that might be a better fit. I also have a blog that you can reach from my website. You may find some helpfulinformation on finding the right therapist for you and your family as well as several other topics such as teen dating, cutting behaviors and how to manage launching your children.
