Finding a therapist who is a good fit is the most important part of the process. Research has shown that there are many techniques and interventions that work, but the thing that clients report as being the most beneficial is their relationship with their therapist. That's why I modify my approach depending on my client's needs, but I always put the relationship first. I want you to feel safe and understood. I will guide our sessions together, making sure we always address your concerns. You will have plenty of opportunity to talk about whatever is on your mind, and we will make goals for therapy together. If this is your first time in therapy and don't know what to expect, just give me a call and ask- phone interviews are free.

More Info About My Practice
My specialty is women's health, but I am open to any client who thinks I might be a good fit. Women's mental health issues can be a lot of things, some of which include self esteem, relationships (familial/friend/romantic), growth in career, parenting, fertility, loss, postpartum depression or anxiety, confidence, a new move, or just feeling stuck.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I mentioned that postpartum depression and anxiety is one of my areas of expertise. Well, it wasn't always that way, and I learned the hard way just how frustrating it can be to struggle alone. I have now been working with women as a therapist, friend, and postpartum doula for several years. When I was struggling with my own postpartum depression I had no idea that I needed help or what kind of help was out there. Please don't do the same thing I did. I am happy to do a free phone evaluation and talk about treatment options before you step into my office. One in seven postpartum women will face a perinatal mood disorder, but the great thing is, you can get well! Let me help.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
We all go through seasons of giving and seasons of receiving. For you, therapy might be a time and space where you can feel safe to really dig deep and explore your feelings. Or maybe it's part of your self-care, because talking to someone helps you focus and make decisions. Perhaps this is your last resort because you feel like you've tried everything on your own. No matter the reason, you are never alone, and I welcome you to come and see what therapy is all about. It won't always be easy, but we will work together to reach whatever goals you might have in mind.
