While we can not change difficult situations in the past, we can better understand how to relate to them in the present. By applying complementary therapeutic approaches and techniques, we can untangle habitual patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting which will, in turn, influence your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships now, and in the future. If you are looking for support and guidance to navigate a challenging situation, or you are ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to help you achieve your goals.
I am a licensed Ph.D. marriage and family therapist specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy. I maintain a private practice in Seattle, Washington.
With over twenty years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of Nova Southeastern University specializing in brief, solution focused, cognitive behavioral, family systems therapies, I currently work with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise: relationship issues, conflict resolution, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, aging, pain managment, life transitions, family-of-origin issues, eating disorders, parenting support, work and career issues, and job displacements.
I have presented at Interrnational professional conferences and to general audiences speaking on topics about therapy, pain managment, hypnotherapy, and meditation. I am a AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and I offer supervision to therapists in their clinical practices. As a meditator for over twenty-five years, I have taught meditation in different contexts as a beneficial method for working with mind and emotions.
In addition to being a relationship therapist skilled in a variety of different therapeutic methods, I taught in a family therapy doctoral program in South Florida for several years. As an adjunct professor, I currently teach online psychology courses for Nova Southeastern University. My therapeutic approach offers support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to address individual client needs. With compassion and understanding, I work with clients to help them build on their strengths and attain the goals they are committed to accomplishing.
