More Info About My Practice

I offer sliding scale for clients with limited financial resources. As a bilingual therapist I can offer the option of counseling in English or Hebrew. I am a trained EMDR therapist and I am familiar with the enneagram and other tools for self assessment.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Through the course of my work I have had the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience counseling people from all walks of life and to hear their unique stories. It has been such a privilege and an honor to witness their stories and experience their resilience and courage as they work through their life struggles. I like to interact with people and find it very rewarding to see my clients achieve a more fulfilling life, which gives me a great sense of accomplishment.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Taking the first step toward getting help is often the most difficult part and takes a lot of courage. Acknowledging that you have issues to work through is a sign of strength. It takes a lot of guts to realize you have a problem and that you cannot handle it yourself. It takes a lot of courage to see a stranger to request help and it requires so much strength to disclose your private details, worries and fears to this stranger. Society often expects that we will be strong and not show our emotions, as well as to be capable of solving our own problems . Often the decision to avoid seeking help can lead to unhealthy negative emotions that interfere with daily life. As human beings we all have strengths and weaknesses, thus therapy can be powerful healing in helping clients understand that all behavior makes sense in context and represents the persons attempt to make sense of life experiences.
