Helping people through therapy has been one of my most rewarding experiences I've ever had. Counseling is for my clients an opportunity to explore areas of their lives where they feel stuck and find no new ways to move forward. During a therapy session my clients find a welcoming environment where they feel respected and validated. My clients can expect from me an open-minded professional who listens to their point of view, but also explores and asks questions to help them clarify and resolve their concerns and existential questions.

Conversations that I've had with my clients have been a powerful tool to redefine what the real challenges are that they are facing, empowering them to take direct action. Through therapy, people can identify what they really are looking for and afraid of; what they are really trying to accomplish and how they can move in that direction.

I believe that hope is an important component in a therapy session; hope helps us redefine our challenges, and it gives us the energy to move in the direction of finding new strategies.

Through open conversations, we all can develop the ability to see "outside the box" and explore new solutions to old or difficult dilemmas; conversations give us the opportunity to share different perspectives and explore things from different angles.

My clients can expect to bring their dilemmas to a new level of understanding, and this may bring new conversations to themselves and to others.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

Therapy is a relational process. Each therapist has a different approach and different skills; not all the therapy sessions are the same, and not all therapeutic relationships are necessarily effective with all people. There are many elements involved in finding the right therapist; probably the most important of these is building rapport, starting from a conducive friendly first contact. Clients have to find the right therapist for them. If I could give an advice to potential clients, I would say that it is important to read what the therapist has to say in his/her profile, and then to call the therapist directly and ask questions so the client can have a better sense about the potential therapeutic relationship.
