Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Many people feel ambivalent about going into treatment. I get it. Therapy has been occasionally branded for people who are "crazy" or are "incapable of helping themselves". But the reality is, therapy is an effective and efficient way to work on having a life that FEELS and IS more gratifying and rewarding. And don't we all really want that?!? With the right treatment and therapist, therapy can be a gateway to resolving issues quickly and successfully.

Going into treatment does not mean you are week or unable to manage life on your own. It's simply a way to look at your challenges in a safe and objective environment, and in doing so, speeding up the learning curve we would have if we did it all on our own. It's a way to take control of your life and proactively turn it into the life you feel you were meant to live.
