I am an interactive and solution focused therapist. My relationship with you will reflect the uniqueness of your personality and situation. Together, we will choose the course of therapy from our shared insights. Your comfort level and pacing will offer the choices for action. Throughout therapy, you will maintain control over the self-discovery process.
You will gain ground in sorting out issues, see if an unclear path may be influencing your present situation, explore motivations for behavior, enhance your communication choices, develop personal control strategies using positive actions, and come to recognize hidden pressures in daily life that can be modified or avoided.
A seemingly irresolvable complex of personal, family, spousal, school and work related stresses can take the form of anxiety, fears, paralyzing helplessness, disintegrating relationships, poor performance, even obsessive thinking. When your stresses feel like they are dominating many aspects of your life, they lock out everyday well being, fun, joy, productivity, and satisfying relationships. My practice and philosophy concentrate on accessing your personal strengths, ameliorating underlying external and internal barriers and developing positive actions that move you closer to the achievement of your goals.

My Therapy Focus
PARENTING COORDINATION TRAINING! I have now completed my extensive education to be a Certified Parenting Coordination Trainer for divorcing and separating couples with children. This is in addition to being a divorce mediator in good standing with the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM).
Central New Jersey, yearly, has numerous high conflict divorces and separations of couples with children. Think of how many hundreds of practical questions need to be agreed on in an uncomfortable or angry dissolving family. Like: Who has our children on important holidays? Or: Does your ex-partner's new romantic friend have any say when relating to the children in his/her new household? And these: With two households whose rules will be respected for bedtime, homework, computer sites visited, dietary restrictions, sports participation, and so on? The list is long.
When high conflict parents need lawyers, or Family Court involvement to get child issues resolved, a cost effective method, Parenting Coordination, may be the best way to get to solutions that offer input, control, and resolution. It is child focused mediation between the parents directly working out voluntarily made agreements, signed and binding that are recognized by Courts. Many lawyers will tell you it is cost effective ($250 per 1 1/2 hour session) and time saving to be guided by a Parenting Coordinator.
