I believe in working collaboratively with clients to explore issues and needs, build upon strengths and resources and find therapeutic tools to help them reach their counseling/psychotherapy goals. Each person and each life journey is unique, so therapy works best when tailored to the client and their needs, wants and strengths. Expertise and clinical experience I bring to counseling is always coupled with the faith that clients are the lead agent in their own growth and healing.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

What I enjoy most in being a therapist is the opportunity to see clients grow and make positive changes. To see the courage, creativity and determination clients use in their therapy is humbling and awe inspiring. Sharing clients therapeutic experiencing of deep emotions is always an honor and often a joy. To know that I have been helpful to them in the process of improving their lives, and in turn the lives of those around them, is a positive experience that is almost indescribable.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

We know from studies and clinical experience that the client-therapist relationship is the greatest single healing factor in psychotherapy and counseling. Clients do much better when they feel heard, understood, cared about and safe with a therapist who is also competent to tailor therapeutic interventions and tools to their wants and needs. This is what I strive to offer.
