We all face situations throughout life that can make us feel overwhelmed and in need of support, encouragement, strategic planning or goal setting. This may involve family life transitions, a parent-child relationship, peers groups, marriage, divorce, social issues, academic challenges or behavioral issues.

As your therapist, I will take a team approach to helping you to achieve your goals and overcome the challenges you face. I specialize in working with children and families who are struggling with behavioral, social and academic issues. As a former elementary education teacher working within the classroom setting fostered a greater understanding of the behavioral, academic and social struggles children and adolescents face on a daily basis and how these effect the family system.

I subscribe to a holistic systematic process of psychotherapy. I believe that a person's environment as well as their biological, social, psychological and spiritual well-being play a critical role in healing and coping with life's issues. Every client's therapeutic process and needs are individual and therefore I approach each case within this framework. I tailor the course of treatment that will best fit each client's needs while empowering the client to exercise self-determination.
