I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help those I work with address their challenges. That being said, I don't treat diagnoses; I treat people, each of whom brings a unique set of circumstances to the table. The use of CBT allows for a flexible approach to exploring your particular set of strengths and challenges, which may just be a normal reaction to the stresses of life. CBT practitioners listen to you, attempt to understand your history and ideas, and then act as a teacher and coach to help you achieve your goals. The best analogy for my approach is that of a consultant. A consultant recognizes that you are the expert on you and your circumstances, and a good consultant uses their expertise to work WITH you to find practical solutions to your challenges. If you're looking for someone to partner with, I might be the person you're looking for.

More Info About My Practice

I currently do not bill any insurance plans directly. What I typically do is provide clients with a weekly or monthly invoice which may allow you to bill your insurance company for services. Please contact your insurance company to ask about any mental health benefits that your plan has. Godd questions to ask are: the number of sessions covered, if there is a deductible, what diagnoses are covered, as well as other information.

If my normal fees present a financial burden, I have a limited number of reduced fee/sliding scale therapy slots available. Please contact me if you have any questions, especially if you are a full-time student or veteran.
