Billing and Insurance

You are a creative person at heart. Maybe you love writing, art, or music. You want to find a therapist who "gets it." Someone who understands what it means to have an artistic spirit. Because of my extensive background in writing and music, I know how important art is and how it can also help facilitate healing.

More Info About My Practice

I help creative people and others overcome anxiety and trauma. I have completed Basic Training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. EMDR is a well-researched, effective treatment for trauma and stress. As a former hospice counselor, I also have experience with issues of grief and loss.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Some people say: "Why do I need to see a therapist when I can talk to a friend instead?" It's a good question. The difference between a therapist and a friend is the therapist is objective and impartial. A therapist won't judge you for your thoughts, beliefs, or actions. You don't need to worry if the therapist will tell other people what you talked about because the discussions are kept confidential. It's a special type of relationship focused solely on your health and well-being.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

The most important aspect of any counseling relationship is the rapport between client and therapist. The best way to establish that is to have a conversation first. I encourage you to schedule a free 10-minute phone consultation with me to see if we would be a good fit: https://rachelmoore.acuityscheduling.com/
