Are you tired of struggling with food and body image issues? I specialize in helping people make peace with food as part of a long-term life strategy. My approach combines practical guidance in understanding and coping with triggers and cravings, learning to connect with yourself in a compassionate way, heal the stress from shame, judgment, obsessive thinking, and the inner critic and helping you to create sustainable habits and behaviors. I'm also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. Through our work you will learn how to separate emotion driven eating from physical triggers and take steps to address emotion driven eating without using food, learn how to balance physical imbalances and address underlying needs being expressed through food. I offer a 12-week program to help you make peace with food. Contact me to start healing!

My Role as a Therapist

Ultimately, I see my role as a therapist as a facilitator. The solutions to your struggles are already deep within you. My job is to help you recover your inner wisdom and begin to create new habits that support your best self. The good news about this is that while you may learn new skills and develop new habits, the deeper foundation is already there. Being an outsider in your world, I can have the objective perspective that it may not always be easy for you to have. I hear the emotion between your words, I see the pain behind your eyes, and I understand the reasons for what may seem like out of control or sabotaging behavior. When it's happening within you, it's hard to make sense of it all, but when you speak your truth and put it outside of yourself, you will find the solutions you seek.
