It is my honor to assist persons of many ages, cultures, & orientations in growth & healing. I believe that human beings are doing their best in life. When a person finds courage & wisdom to seek therapy, I offer a safe haven where he or she may pause from worldly struggles & meet with a compassionate listener & guide. I provide therapy for young adults ages 18+, adult & senior men & women, couples, & families.
An integrative & holistic approach is used to meet a wide variety of human needs. My intention is to understand each person's perceptions of their life experiences & goals; then apply methods that are uniquely suited for them. Collaboration between therapist & clients, with emphasis on client strengths, resources, & self-knowledge, facilitates positive outcomes.
Within the therapeutic process, people often express profound thoughts & feelings, repair emotional wounds & relationships, develop greater authenticity & wholeness, explore life meaning & purpose, & learn ways to support & care for themselves. The foundation of my work is a desire to reduce suffering through ever more effective ways of helping others.

More Info About My Practice
My background is primarily in the arts. Use of creative/expressive arts is helpful in therapy & available to clients who have this interest. I am devoted to lifelong learning & am currently studying highly sensitive persons, emotional intelligence, dream work, & emotionally-focused couples therapy.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
After earning an MSC & completing Internship, I attended 3 years of post-graduate training where I encountered a wide variety of mental health issues. Those with which I've frequently worked are: depression, anxiety, bipolar, effects of early childhood trauma, shame & guilt, dissociation, loss & grief, relationship & family-of-origin issues, attachment, codependency, perfectionism, poor sense of self, somatic problems/illnesses, self-hatred, suicidal ideation, fears/phobias, ways in which the past effects the present, & many more.....
When working with couples, I have frequently encountered: ineffective communication, anger, fighting, resentment, secrecy, lying, attacking, withdrawing, jealousy, infidelity & affairs, triggers from past relationships, loss of interest & connection, loss of self, falling out of love, codependency, emotional & other abuse, trauma, dissociation, inability/unwillingness to understand or accept the other as a separate person, & much more.....
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
My personal therapeutic journey resulted in recovery from serious childhood wounds & development of life skills that were missing. I am grateful to be a much more functional person today for having made this investment in myself. All that I have learned is used to accompany & facilitate others on their therapeutic journeys.
