Life is challenging and yet we all want to thrive! Struggling alone can be debilitating and frustrating. I work with individuals and couples who want to build satisfying lives where relationships can grow and real meaning found.
Counseling is your space to unpack the things that keep life from working and find new ways to engage. We often want a consultant to just tell us the answer, yet this doesn't help you mature, develop and know how to handle life. My goal is always to help clients become truly "solid" people who know how to navigate life, and meet the goals they come with.
With me you will find someone who engages you, speaks to you as a real person and gives you vital feedback in an honest relationship.

More Info About My Practice
I have worked with those struggling with, or affected by another with sex addiction for over three years. Often we confuse symptoms with causes. There are behavioral steps needed, and there is the work of building a life that has purpose, significance and substance.
I don't seek to impose any view on anyone and a non judgmental environment attests to this. As a Christian I bring my worldview that underpins my work and I have set with people of all different faith points.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Women who struggle with trusting and being in relationship with men
Anxiety and depression
DBT - dis-regulated emotions, personal skills and attention
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
Of course! Most of us are unsure or skeptical about the potential for someone else to really help with the turmoil we feel. My approach is honest and open about life and recognizes the tensions we experience. It is a big step to admit the need for help, another big step to seek help, and hugely rewarding to find understanding, compassion and help. I don't know what your specific concern might be, but I always think that is a good place to start. I am delighted to have conversations about people's concerns with counseling because it shows how seriously they are taking their problems. If you are concerned, I encourage you to explore that and start to meet your own needs in that way.
