I specialize in helping couples reconnect and rekindle the passion and intimacy. My belief is that it is never too early to seek a little help. I like to consider every relationship needs a tune-up from time to time. Whether you''re feeling like your not connecting lately, or something just feels off, a trained couple's counselor can guide you back. I've helped couples on a variety of issues. Sometimes we might solve the issues in 1-2 sessions sometimes it takes a few more to get to the heart of the issues. Regardless of your circumstances you will find I am easy to talk to and dedicated to making you feel as comfortable as possible.
Thank you for reading, and I hope to meet you someday.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I have training in systems therapy, meaning I look at the entire framework of your experiences, including family history, and current family patterns. I also have additional training in treating substance abuse.
My clinical interest is in treating trauma and addiction issues. I am also interested in working with couples who have had past trauma experiences that continue to negatively impact their current relationships.
I have experience working with domestic abuse victims and perpetrators, child abuse and neglect, as well as people who have been in jail or prison.
Most of all, I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds. I find each and everyone of us unique and fascinating and I always look forward to learning more.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
When we get the feeling there is something wrong with our car we can either do two things: ignore it (turn the radio up loud to drown out the sound) or we can take it in to the shop before the problem gets worse. Although people are not cars, this is a helpful metaphor in realizing that we can try as long as possible to ignore a problem but eventual it will get worse and the noise or technique used in the past to drown out the problem no longer works.
Therapy works... it does not mean you are crazy, flawed or weak it means you are being proactive in taking care of your needs before the issue becomes bigger than you.
