I am an in-network provider for:
Fees: Free 15 minute consultation where we can learn more about each other and discuss whether we are a good "fit"

I'm so glad that you're either taking the first steps toward self-improvement or looking in a new direction for ways to continue self-growth. I often tell the folks that I work with that walking in the door (or, in this case, reaching out to a therapist online) can be one of the hardest parts of therapy! After you read a little more about who I am and how I think counseling can be helpful, I'd invite you to call for a free consultation so that we can discuss what our work together might look like.
By taking a solution-focused approach, we'll work together to identify strengths and discover new ways to use those strengths to overcome whatever challenges are presenting themselves. I've found that integrating this approach, along with the integration of mindfulness, coping, and relationship skill building are powerful ways to address both long-standing issues as well as those life challenges that may have just arisen.
Research evidence supports the idea that the compatibility and fit between you and your therapist can be the strongest predictor of getting the most out of your counseling experience. I highly value creating a safe space, open communication from both of us, providing support (and, at times, those gentle challenges that we all need), and a caring sense of humor to work through the difficulties in our lives. During your free phone consultation, I'd be thrilled to answer your questions and share a little more about what to expect from the process!

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Although I consider myself a generalist who has experience working with a wide range of people presenting with a variety of issues, there are several specialty areas where I could consider myself a "specialist."
I have a passion for working with men's issues. Although there may be data supporting the notion that less men seek out counseling services, this is a trend that has thankfully started to change in recent years. Working from a solution-based approach is particularly useful to help men utilize their own strengths in order to overcome unique personal, relational, career, and life challenges.
I also enjoy working with late high school and college aged clients. Young adults face a number of unique challenges, and it's a genuine pleasure to help those in this age group manage a number of life transitions, changing relationships, conflicts, and other issues that arise during this time.
I also have experience working with service members, veterans, and their families. Whether it be issues related to transitions to and from military service, relationship concerns, or other mental issues including anxiety, depression, and PTSD - I recognize the uniqueness of those impacted by the military life and will tailor our work accordingly.
Internet/technology/video game addiction is a special interest.
