We can spend years examining our past pain without improving, or we can focus only on the present and forget that our past experiences are the reason we cannot move
forward. I am a life coach and psychotherapist and use the tools of both professions to help my clients. I work on the past and build for the future with my clients. The goal is to help you do the work necessary to move forward and thrive, not just survive.
If you have ever felt you understood something logically, but emotionally you could not reach your goals, that is because logic (mind) and emotion (body) are two different parts of you. Just because your mind wants you to do something does not mean your body will necessarily agree. The two parts of you are often engaged in a tug of war with each other, but we need them to work together.
I work with my clients to connect these two parts. Also known as establishing a mind-body connection. We are so used to ignoring the body and getting angry and frustrated with ourselves when we can't achieve our goals. Taking active steps and moving forward is crucial to making changes. This is also known as making behavioral changes. After each session, I email my client the action plan we have agreed upon.
Therapy should not be never-ending. Through our work together, clients will learn how to handle stress and life situations by building their toolbox of techniques so they can feel empowered and manage their life without needing to depend on others.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Over time improvements include alleviating digestive issues, lowering blood pressure, battling heart disease, combating weight problems and improving sleeping habits. How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I started in this field through my own personal journey dealing with depression, anxiety and emotional eating. Through my own work I lost 70 lbs without "dieting" and have managed me anxiety. Now I strive to help others work through their challenges, just as I have. I provide the necessary tools to identify the root of clients struggles and work closely with them to ensure they are listened to, supported in their process of change, respected and understood.
