People, regardless of their difficulties, have strong needs for understanding and acceptance from others. By using client-centered approach and motivational-interviewing techniques, I show genuine concerns and acceptance to build a trust with my clients. I also use Mindfulness-Based approach to help clients and their families cultivate a different attitudes toward perceived stress(e.g. illness, disabilities, etc.), so they will eventually be able to deal with their physical/psychological pain, depressed feelings, relationship difficulties, stress and anxiety more effectively.
