Do you sometimes ask yourself: ~ I feel angry, disappointed, or frustrated, What can I do? ~ I tried everything, nothing works in the long term. ~ Why are my relationships so unfullfilling? During sessions, you are invited to connect with the parts of your Self that have various feelings, goals, perspectives, and beliefs. Those parts often pull you in opposite directions - "I really want ice cream, but I also want to lose weight," for example - and criticize you for not being more responsible, productive, etc... The various parts of yourself fight for your compliance and try to convince you that their point of view is the one you need to follow. By inviting your own Self to be in the lead - not the therapist's- you become able to see yourself though the eyes of the unconditionally loving Self you really are. This helps you understand and step out of the inner battles "high-jacking" your mind, leaving you exhausted and puzzled as to why you don't reach your goals, or why you lose your self-control. While you focus on each part of yourself with curiosity and love, those inner parts start collaborating with each other under the leadership of your Self. This fosters the (inner) harmony and peace of mind you are longing for since your true Self emerges as the leader of your life.

More Info About My Practice
Being an immigrant myself, and born from parents who gave me the gift of knowing you can have wisdom without formal education, and having been married with a person with a middle-eastern muslim upbringing, I enjoy working with people who are from different cultures, religions, ethnicity, socio-economic background, etc. I love practicing therapy, to work together with my clients to get to the jewel that lies at the core of every heart, mind and body. My practice is informed by various teachings such as that of Abraham (Esther Hicks).
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Anxiety, feeling insecure, lack of self-worth are the most common issues that underlie most of the discomfort and difficulties that people suffer and struggle with. Often those feelings are due to the gap between what is perceived as realistic or possible and what is hoped for in life. Having high hopes for our life helps reach for more satisfaction and learning how to achieve and manifest those hopes is one goal of counseling.
My Role as a Therapist
My role as therapist is to become a co-therapist with my client who gradually feel more and more confident and learn to help those parts of themselves that are not yet up to speed with the wisest and happiest parts of themselves.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
It's critical that you feel safe with your therapist. So ask to talk to the therapist before you set up an appointment, and assess how safe you feel with her/him, that the therapist is not going to judge you for whatever issue you present. Once you feel safe, it's also important that you feel heard, that the therapist will not dismiss your concerns with a quick, simplified approach. After that, see if you feel that the therapist can bring more than just empathy to you, but can bring a clarity of vision that will help you more than just being listened to.
