More Info About My Practice
My office is conveniently located in Dupont Circle in the historic Anchorage Building. It is one block from the red line metro (Q Street exit) and on several major bus lines.
Finding a therapist is a personal process and it's important that you feel comfortable and have the right fit. I offer a free in-person 20-minute consultation to answer any questions that you have and to help us decide it we would like to work together.
I accept cash, check, or credit cards. I am out of network with most insurance companies and am happy to provide with you with a statement at the end of the month for you to submit for reimbursement.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I am passionate about people and culture. I feel honored to be trusted with client's stories and be invited to share in their journeys. It is a privilege to partner with my clients and I feel inspired by this work.
My Role as a Therapist
I will collaborate with you to help you feel better and live more fully. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space to process the issues that you are struggling with, explore what is getting in your way of expressing your true self, and identify your unique strengths. I am your partner and your support in this process, but you determine the path and the pace.
What I Usually Need to Know to Help
There are no prerequisites to therapy. The more open and honest you are, the easier our work will be, but I will meet you where you are. Because my approach is insight-oriented, it is helpful to know a little bit about your childhood, your background, your relationships, your values, and your priorities.
